Publication standards

Editorial Policy

Evidence before adjectives, clear threat models, and no invented performance or business claims.

Purpose

The editorial standard is evidence before adjectives. “Private,” “secure,” “anonymous,” “offshore,” “zero knowledge,” and “no logs” are treated as claims that require scope, conditions, and limitations.

Evaluation method

  1. Define the asset, observer, access path, and consequence.
  2. Map the organizations, accounts, devices, records, and recovery processes involved.
  3. Separate content protection from metadata, identity, availability, and portability.
  4. Inspect failure behavior, not only normal operation.
  5. Prefer controls that can be tested and recovered.

Sources

Articles prioritize official agencies, standards bodies, established civil-society security resources, and primary technical guidance. Each long-form article includes exactly one outbound editorial link in the body so the reference is clear and the reading experience remains focused.

Commercial relationships

This release contains no affiliate links, sponsored rankings, paid placements, lead forms, referral codes, or service checkout flows. Future operators should disclose any material commercial relationship at the point where it could influence a recommendation.

Updates and corrections

Publication and modification dates should reflect actual editorial events. Cosmetic template changes should not be presented as substantive article updates. Send correction requests to [email protected].

Limits

Privacy and security depend on law, location, configuration, behavior, and changing technology. The site provides educational frameworks, not legal advice, individualized risk assessment, or a guarantee against compromise.
